This has been an eventful year with Ali and Greg’s wedding and their baby due in December. I’ve spent time throughout the year with all of my children and grandchildren. Jon continues at Google, Rachel at University of Illinois, and Ali and Greg at Housing Works. Matt is getting back into work, mostly freelance editing through a large ad agency and Molly began new design work for Norwegian Cruise Line’s shows. Sandi is in school for early childhood education and Dani continues to teach kindergarten. Harvey started real kindergarten and Livy, Serena, and Izzy are in pre k. Eve and Viv have a busy social life with their nanny taking them to story time and playdates when Matt and Molly are working. Nothing eventful for Rob and I so I guess that is a good thing. The program (diagnosing rate diseases in children) Rob started is growing and keeping him busy at work as does editing the Nelson textbook. When not working he spends his time biking. I’m busy traveling around seeing my family and so have not biked as much as I need to in order to bike at my best level. But I do what I can and did do two long distance charity rides (AIDS and Leukemia). I’ve also been volunteering with the Democratic Party of WI working on the midterm elections and hope to do some volunteer work AIDS resource center teaching vegan cooking classes. And in my never ending quest for the perfect weight and no binge behavior I’m back at WW. I wonder at what age we give up and just accept. My hair is lighter so that’s a big change but otherwise I look the same and feel good other than the occasional aches and pains in my back or knees. We sold my moms condo this summer and I’ve come to realize I miss her much more than I thought I would.
Here are a few photos from 2018. I Love you so much and even though we don’t see each other often I know you are a wonderful friend who will always be there for me.
